Delete Your Account
This page explains how to delete your Shifting account (Shifting, by Nailed Technologies Inc.) and what happens to your data afterward, whether or not you still have the app installed.
Delete your account in the app
Open the Shifting app, go to Settings › Account, and select Request Data Deletion. If you have an active or upcoming shift, an unresolved dispute, or a pending payment or payout, the app will list what needs to be resolved first, and the request can’t go ahead until those are settled.
Once everything is settled, you’ll be asked to re-enter your password (and a verification code, if you have two-factor verification enabled), and to confirm that the deletion is permanent.
When you submit the request, your account enters a 14-day grace period with restricted access, and you will be signed out. To cancel during this window, sign in to your account on the Shifting website and cancel the pending deletion; your account is restored immediately, with nothing lost. When the grace period ends, your personal information and profile are automatically anonymized and your account is closed.
Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, or prefer not to sign in, email support@shiftingstaff.com and ask us to delete your account. We’ll verify your identity and check for any open shifts, disputes or payments, then process your request. A deletion made through support takes effect right away and can’t be cancelled.
What happens to your data
Once your account is deleted, your personal information and profile are anonymized and your account is closed. Records that we’re required to keep by law — tax, financial, dispute, audit, and signed-agreement records — are retained in anonymized form for their statutory retention period, and are not tied back to your identity.
